The initial course is titled The Changing Face of Crisis and Disaster Mental Health Intervention. The course is available to all students, but the primary student audience will likely include those who are currently registered with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation as certified Trained Trainers. Trainers who are actively teaching others in the CISM body of knowledge should stay as up to date as possible concerning changes in the field.

This is a non-credit professional development course. It is not offered for academic credit, but upon completion students will be able to print their own certificate of completion, satisfying training requirements of the ICISF and earning Continuing Education units from Weber State University. The updates and information in the modules of this course are provided as a general reference only and are not intended to be clinical prescriptions, nor are they intended to be used by those other than individuals qualified to do so.

Course Access

A new class section begins the first of each month. Students are required to register by the 20th of the month before they want to begin. Log-in access will not be immediate, but available on the 1st day of the class session. Students will have until the end of the month they are enrolled to complete the course. At the end of the one month period, access to the class is closed. A one-time, one month extension can be granted, but there will be a $50 fee involved.
