Tuition and fees are assessed according to approved
tuition and fee tables. The assessment is based on the number of registered
credit hours or liable hours for each student. For example, if the student
signs up for 12 credit hours, he or she is liable for paying for 12 credit hours
according to the tuition and fee table.
The refund percentage is applied to the number of credit
hours dropped, not the dollar amount of the tuition and fees assessed.
Courses are taught during several parts of term each semester. Each part
of term is assigned a different refund schedule. Courses that are taught for
the entire length of the term have a weekly refund schedule. For parts of term
that are less than 15 weeks, the refund schedule is based on the percentage of
the course that has been completed rather than the number of weeks completed.

*Refunds are applied to credit
hours, not dollar amount paid.
Note: Independent study, conferences, workshops and
certain programs are assessed a flat fee for tuition. Please check with
continuing education for refund schedule for these courses.
A $17.50 non-refundable fee is deducted from your
refund when you totally withdraw from school. Admission fees and late fees are non-refundable.
Please note: If the bank dishonors your check or web
check, you will be charged a $20 handling fee, and a hold will be placed on your record until cleared.
To calculate a refund: Multiply the refund
percentage for the course part-of-term by the hours dropped. This number
is subtracted from the student's current liable hours.
FOR EXAMPLE:
-
Student A is registered for 10 credit hours in
part-of-term 1 (15 week block). The student drops all 10 hours during
the 50% refund period, the new liable hours will be 5 . Tuition and fees
will be assessed to the student for 5 liable hours.
-
Student B is registered for 10 credit hours in a
part-of-term 1 (15 week block). The student drops 4 credit hours during
the 50% refund period. The new liable hours will be 8 = (10-(4X50%)).
-
Student C is registered for 12 credit hours--4
hours in part-of-term 1; 4 hours in part-of-term 2; and 4 hours in
part-of-term 3. On 09/07/07 the student drops 4 hours from part-of-term
2 at 50%. The new liable hours are 10 hours (12 - (4 X 50%)).
-
Student D is registered for 12 credit hours--4
hours in part-of-term 1; 4 hours in part-of-term 2; and 4 hours in
part-of-term 3. On 09/07/07 the student drops 4 hours from part-of-term
3 at 100%. The new liable hours are 8 hours (12 - (4 X 100%)).
