WSU Botany Department Field Trips

 

Uinta Mountains

The annual field trip to the Uinta Mountains takes place in September.  The trip is open to any student enrolled in a Botany class.  Students in Botany General Education courses (LS1203, LS1303, LS1403) are strongly encouraged to participate.  Information about the field trip can be found at the Uinta Mountains Field Trip Home Page.  The 2007 trip was held on September 14.

 

Antelope Island State Park

The annual field trip to Antelope Island State Park takes place in April.  The trip is open to any student enrolled in a Botany class.  Students in Botany General Education courses (LS1203, LS1303, LS1403) are strongly encouraged to participate.  Information about the field trip can be found at the Antelope Island Field Trip Home Page.  The 2007 trip was held on scheduled for April 20.

 

Botany 2950 - Elementary Field Botany and Botany 4950 - Advanced Field Botany

Botany 2950 and 4950 are offered in the Spring Semester.  Students in the two courses take an extended joint field trip to southern Utah.  For additional information about the extended field trips, visit the Field Botany web site or contact Dr. Dawn Gatherum at 801-626-6175 or dgatherum@weber.edu.
