About the Browning Center

The Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts, located on the campus of Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, is a state-of-the-art facility used for educational purposes as well as hosting a variety of cultural events for the public.

The Browning Center houses three performance theaters, movement rooms, costume and scenic construction spaces, theatre and musical rehearsal rooms and classrooms in its more than 150,000 square feet.  

Since its original construction in 1962 and its many additions, the center has served the WSU and the Ogden community as a cultural center hosting such acts as the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Utah Symphony, The Prague Chamber Orchestra, Bolshoi Ballet, Ballet West Repertory Dance Theater, Itzhak Perlman, the New the York City Opera, the Royal Canadian Opera and many more.

George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater: Black Box  -175 seats
Roland S. Parry Recital Hall:  80 seats (also a class room space -Room 113)
