Weber State University Department of Performing Arts Presents:
Dr. Michael Palumbo in a faculty Viola Recital
The recital will open with Honegger’s” Sonata for Viola and Piano.”
“The Suite No. 2, in d” by J. S. Bach will follow the Honegger. After
the Bach, Palumbo and Wiemer will perform “Four Dances” from “Romeo
and Juliet” by Serge Prokofiev, in an arrangement by Vadim Borisovsky.
Gerta Wiemer is an adjunct faculty member at WSU where she teaches
private lessons and Class Piano. Kendra Johnson is adjunct professor
of oboe at WSU.
Michael Palumbo is currently in his 28th year as a member of the
faculty at WSU. In addition to conducting and administering the
orchestra program and teaching viola, he is the violist with the WSU
Faculty String Quartet, the associate principal violist of the Ballet
West Orchestra, and is an assistant conductor for Ballet West.
