Pathways to Success

The Pathways to Success program will provide you with the education of a lifetime, it will provide you with the knowledge and ability to succeed in life after Weber State. As a participant, you will gain valuable experience, knowledge, and skills that will help you reach your potential. As a student, you will work one-on-one with a career counselor to explore and plan for your future career.

During this program, you will

- Create and implement a career development plan

- Develop resume writing and interviewing skills

- Learn strategies for successful job searching and networking

- Earn a certificate of completion from Weber State University

STEP 1: CONNECT

- Attend an orientation with Career Services

- Register for CareerConnect

- Meet with your career counselor

- Take a career assessment test

- Meet with your academic advisor

- Attend at least two additional activities sponsored by Career Services (see right)

 

STEP 2: EXPLORE

- Attend the participant reception

- Meet with your career counselor

- Create a resume and have it reviewed by your counselor

- Perform at least two informational interviews with your counselor

- Attend at least two additional activities sponsored by Career Services (see right)

STEP 3: FOCUS

- Attend the participant reception

- Research specific employers

- Attend our annual Career Fair and/or Graduate Fair

- *Attend at least two additional activities sponsored by Career Services (see right)

 

STEP 4: APPLY

- Attend the participant reception

- Review your resume with your counselor

- Participate in a mock interview

- Attend our annual Career Fair and/or Graduate Fair

- Attend at least two additional activities sponsored by Career Services (see right)
