Business Administration/Management | | Bio: Winn has been the Director of the Career Center since April 2002. He taught courses in human resources, career development, and international business for the Goddard School of Business before joining the career services team. He has worked professionally in Human Resources for over 25 years. Before returning to Utah, he lived in Chicago for 12 years and worked as a group Vice President of Human Resources for Federal Signal Corporation. He has lived in Brazil and has worked and traveled extensively internationally. Winn enjoys working with students, faculty, employers, and alumni. He believes in assisting each person in such a memorable way that they tell others about the value of their experience. Winn enjoys being back in Utah with his family and friends and he enjoys biking, skiing, and snowboarding in our beautiful mountains. | | | |

Prior to this time, he spent 20 years as a U.S. Air Force combat pilot where he was awarded the Silver Star for "Gallantry in Action" during the Persian Gulf War. Larry has represented Weber State at numerous local, regional, and national conferences with presentations in the areas of Academic Advisement, Campus Violence, Student Services, and Career Counseling. He has been a volunteer leader with the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years and enjoys backpacking, hiking, fishing, antique cars and building projects. | | | |

He has presented at local, state, regional, and national associations concerning career development topics of current interest. Prior to coming to WSU he worked as a Counselor and as a Test Center Administrator at the University of Utah. In addition to counseling and teaching, Greg also enjoys the sciences. He has completed a B.S. in geology and received the 98-99 outstanding student award from the U of U Department of Geology and Geophysics. He is currently a PhD student in that program with his dissertation work focusing on fluid diagenesis in the Navajo Sandstone. Within the Career Services Office Greg serves as assistant director, technology coordinator, and liaison for the College of Science. His other hobbies include hiking, computers, music, and spending time with his family. | | | |

She has also worked in the private business sector as a consultant and trainer for ten years with various organization in the U.S. and Canada. While working as a counselor, Betty has presented workshops and seminars on counseling skill/s, whole-brain thinking, creative problem solving, interpersonal communication, and diversity issues in the workplace. In addition to her interest in working with students, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young adult aged children, traveling, and vegetable gardening. | | | |

Bachelor of Liberal Studies | | Bio: Jan has been a Career Counselor/Employment Advisor at Weber State University since August of 1998. Prior to that time, she raised two children and finished her Bachelors and Masters degrees at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. Jan is originally from Pennsylvania, and has lived in New Jersey, South Carolina, Texas, and Kentucky.
Upon completion of her Masters in Educational Counseling Psychology with a Post-masters certificate degree in Expressive Arts Therapy in 1996, she moved to Utah to be with her family.
Before coming to Weber State, Jan was employed with the federal government where she created employees’ Individual Development Plans and seminars for federal managers. She also has worked for private industry in outplacement training where she wrote professional resumes and guided executives through the job search process.
Jan has taught the Child and Family Career Development class in a face-to-face format since 1999 and has counseled with thousands of students in her six years at Weber State. She also has created and presented numerous classes and seminars on topics from Stress Management and Test Anxiety to Art Therapy.
Jan was awarded the designation of National Certified Counselor in 2000 and has maintained that certification to present. She is also an active member of the National Career Development Association. In addition to teaching and counseling, Jan enjoys hiking, camping, dancing and yoga. | | | |

English/French | | Bio: Pat has been the Manager of Corporate Recruiting at WSU for 19 years and is now solely responsible for students in the Goddard School of Business and Economics and the Bachelor of Integrated Studies Program. Prior to arriving in Utah, Pat and her Air Force Family spent 12 years living in Europe and Hawaii. Pat is a former Governor of the National Association of Colleges and Employers, and is currently the President of the Rocky Mountain Association of Colleges and Employers. Pat received the Association's first "College Member of the Year" award in 1999. Pat is currently a Board member of the Northern Utah Human Resource Association and advisor for the WSU student chapter of SHRM; honorary life member of the Western Association of Cooperative Education; and is active in many civic groups in Ogden. At Weber State, Pat serves on the Professional Staff Advisory Committee, the Wildcat Club Board of Directors and the Gridiron Club Board of Directors. | | | |
