Not everyone is eligible to
be a concurrent adjunct
faculty member. However, if
you can meet the WSU
qualifications and are
willing to perform the
following responsibilities
we encourage your
application:
Support WSU
Concurrent
Enrollment
program
philosophy.
Teach
concurrent
courses as if
you were on the
WSU campus.
Use the
approved
syllabus along
with other
requested
materials as
specified by the
WSU department.
Submit all
requested
documentation
annually as part
of the approval
process.
Carefully
screen your students
to make sure
they are
emotionally,
intellectually,
and academically
prepared to meet
the rigors of
the course.
Meet the WSU
concurrent
enrollment
deadlines for
admitting and
registering students,
submitting
grades, and
complete all
other duties &
responsibilities
as indicated in
the
Partner Helpbook.
Notify WSU
immediately of
any errors on
student rolls,
grade rolls and
class schedules.
Participate
in and complete
both training
modules (i.e.
the department
specific
training module,
and the online
administrative
training
module).
The WSU
department rep.
will request an
opportunity to
visit with you
in order to
complete the
evaluation of
both yourself
and the
classroom.
Please cooperate
with the
department rep.
to determine the
most appropriate
time for the
visit.
Work closely
with your
concurrent
enrollment site
representative.
He or she is the
liaison between
your school and
the WSU
Concurrent
Enrollment
program.
Notify the
WSU concurrent
enrollment
office of any
changes in your
status as the
instructor of
approved
concurrent
enrollment
classes at your
site. No one but
you has been
approved to
teach your
concurrent
enrollment class
and your
students are
ineligible for
WSU credit if
someone else
replaces you
without being
approved by WSU.
