Concurrent Enrollment

Benefits

  • You won't have to pay for your college credit (the state of Utah pays your fees while you're still in high school).
  • You stay in your familiar high school surroundings while you sample university classes.
  • You'll be taught by your familiar high school teachers who know your skill levels and your strengths.
  • You won't have to apply to the university or take the ACT test (for most concurrent enrollment classes).
  • Concurrent Enrollment's curriculum offers you a wide variety of classes - especially in applied technology.
  • You can get a head-start on your career goals and/or a university degree while you are still in high school.
  • Concurrent Enrollment credit will transfer to the other public colleges and universities in Utah.

Considerations

  • Your Concurrent Enrollment credits/grades will be placed on your permanent Weber State University transcript which may impact your ability to receive and maintain scholarships.
  • Many Concurrent Enrollment classes fill elective credit only, and you will need to work with an academic advisor to determine what can count toward your college major.
