High School juniors & seniors, Weber State University offers four higher education opportunities: Concurrent Enrollment, Early College, Advanced Placement (AP) and College Level Examination Program (CLEP). Participating in these programs allows you to receive college credit before you graduate from high school. Visit each link to learn the benefits and considerations of each program.
 
FRESHMAN (9th Grade)
  • STUDY. Grades earned from 9th grade on count toward university admission and scholarships.
     
  • TAKE a practice ACT to assess your ACT readiness.
     
  • ASK your counselor about Early Credit options, early graduation incentives, and scholarships.
  SOPHOMORE (10th Grade)
  • MEET with your counselor to develop a SEOP course plan.
    Be sure to include Early College and Concurrent Enrollment courses in next year’s SEOP course plan.
       
    Enroll in AP classes and schedule exams.
     
  • TAKE the ACT for admission into the Early College program. Consider taking the residual ACT at the WSUTesting Center for faster results.
     
  • SUBMIT Early College application in March to enter WSU next fall.
     
  • MEET with WSU advisor to assess eligibility for New Century Scholarship.
  JUNIOR (11th Grade)
  • TAKE Early College and/or Concurrent Enrollment classes.
     
  • MEET with your counselor to stay on track with your SEOP course plan.
    Be sure to include Early College and Concurrent Enrollment
    courses in next year’s SEOP course plan.
       
    Enroll in AP classes and schedule exams.

  • TAKE or retake the ACT for Concurrent Enrollment English 1010 and send your scores to WSU.
     
  • MEET with WSU advisor to ensure you’re on track for the New Century Scholarship.
     
  • RESEARCH university admission and scholarship opportunities.
 
SENIOR (12th Grade)
All Year  
 Keep up your grades! 
Continue to participate in Early College and Concurrent Enrollment programs.
 
Sept. - Nov.
  • MEET with your counselor to stay on track with your SEOP course plan and check eligibility for Centennial Scholarship.
    Enroll in Early College and Concurrent Enrollment courses.
       
    Enroll in AP classes and schedule exams.
     
  • MEET with WSU advisor.
     
  • APPLY for university admission and scholarships.
    Be sure to include WSU!

 

Oct. - Dec.
  • TAKE or retake the ACT or SAT (send scores to WSU). If you plan to attend WSU, consider taking the residual ACT at the WSU Testing Center for faster results.
Dec. - Feb.
  • PREPARE and submit your college financial aid application (FAFSA).
     
  • SIGN UP for college department auditions and/or interviews.
     
  • APPLY for college housing if needed.
     
  • APPLY for scholarships by Feb. 1
Mar. - May.
  • ACCEPT all scholarships; remember you can register at WSU for next fall courses as early as April.
