Start When You Want

You can begin a course at any time during the year and take up to six months to complete your course. More than 2,000 students enroll each year in courses which take advantage of this self-paced individualized mode of study, choosing courses from more than two dozen disciplines. Many of these courses meet general education and departmental degree requirements at Weber State University.

Weber State University Independent Study offers no longer offers "correspondence" courses. All Independent Study courses are now based online.

Accreditation

Weber State University is accredited by the Northwestern Association of Schools and Colleges, the official accrediting agency for the region. It is a member of the American Council on Education and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. Various departments and programs are also accredited by special agencies.
