What if I'm not a Junior or
Senior or my ACT isn't high enough?
If you are sophomore (10th grade) or your
index score isn't high enough, you
can
still possibly take courses at Weber State

cannot participate in Early College. You will need to apply

What if I don’t have a GPA?
If you are a home school student
and do not have a high school GPA or
GPA equivalent, we will still allow
you to apply for Early College. You
will need to submit a transcript
listing the equivalent of courses
you have completed through your
studies with an assigned grade for
each course and an overall grade
point average. Your submitted
overall grade point average will be
used to determine your index score.
What if I haven’t taken the ACT
exam?
All students must take the ACT
exam to be admitted to the Early
College program. If you haven’t yet
taken the ACT exam, consider
registering for the WSU
Residual ACT exam. You also have
the option of taking the SAT exam.
Either score will be accepted.
Does WSU Early College accept
home-schooled students?
Yes. We’ll be happy to work with
you. Simply fill out the
Early
College application and send it
to us with your ACT scores. We will
also need a transcript of sorts
listing the courses or course
equivalent of what you have
completed through your home
schooling with an assigned grade for
each course and an overall grade
point average (GPA). Your submitted
overall grade point average will be
used to determine your index score.
What is
the ACCUPLACER test?
Every student must complete
certain English and math core
requirements at Weber State
University. Placement in the
appropriate classes can be critical
to a student’s success. The
ACCUPLACER
English and math placement exams
offer students the opportunity to be
placed in math and English courses
that may better match their level of
ability.
