Registration Information
How to Register
New Students
Once you have been admitted
to the Early College program, you
will be given the opportunity to
meet with one of the academic
advisors to determine your schedule
and to register. It’s a good idea to
familiarize yourself with the
general education requirements
before coming to your appointment.
The advisor will go over the general
education requirements for Weber
State University and help you decide
on courses in which you would like
to enroll.
All Others
If you've registered through
Early College before, you can
download the registration form (pdf)
and send to Early College by the
correct deadline. ALL registration,
changes, adding classes, dropping
classes, etc. needs to be done
through the Early College Office.
Early College students are not
authorized to register or change
their own schedule
Required Courses
There are no required courses in
Early College. We want to make sure
that you are taking courses that
will help you graduate from high
school first and fulfill general
education requirements second. When
you are first admitted to the Early
College program, you will be given
the opportunity to meet with one of
the academic advisors to determine
your schedule and to register. It’s
a good idea to familiarize yourself
with the general education
requirements before coming to your
appointment. The advisor will go
over the general education
requirements for Weber State
University and help you decide on
courses in which you would like to
enroll.
Each year we sit down with you,
your parent(s), and your high school
counselor to determine your Student
Education Occupation Plan (SEOP).
This will help you decide which
courses are needed to graduate. The
Early College Office will schedule
this SEOP meeting with your high
school counselor and then will
notify you via mail or phone of your
appointment date and time. Please
keep this appointment, as it is
difficult for our office to schedule
available times between our office
and your counselor’s office. If you
absolutely cannot make the
appointment date and time, please
notify the Early College Office and
we will attempt to reschedule.
How many classes should I sign up
for?
You may take a full university
schedule of 12 credit hours or more,
or you may combine a few classes at
your high school with one or two
university classes per semester. You
may enroll in any of the courses at
WSU that build on your academic
background, as long as you meet the
prerequisites. These courses will
fulfill requirements for both high
school and university graduation and
are transferable to other colleges
and universities.
