ESTIMATED EQUIPMENT COSTS -- WSU UTAH LAW ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY

Approved Vendors:

NOTE: WSU Art Services and Uniforms West are the only facilities that can put the name on the back of your physical training t-shirt. If you purchase the t-shirt elsewhere, you are required to take it to Art Services so they can do the silk-screening for your name.

Laptop Computer:

You will need a laptop to view in-class material. Laptop rentals are $150 with a $25 refund at course completion. Contact (801) 626-7564 for laptop rentals.

Uniforms:

• Classroom: Navy Blue Polo Shirt with official Police Academy logo, Khaki Pants, Black Boots (must be able to shine them) (no insignias, e.g. Motorcycle insignias).
• Range/Practical Training: Same as above except Navy Blue Pants (not Khaki).
• Physical Training: WSU Police Academy tee shirt and sweat shorts or pants.

Please see any of the approved vendors above for details on the specific styles that have been approved for the uniform items.

Equipment List

This list is divided into the equipment needed for Module 1 & Module 2. In the case of the daytime combined academy you will need only the SFO/BCO Equipment for approximately the first 8-9 weeks. At that time you need to have the LEO Equipment as well.
