Join us for an intriguing look at one of the world’s most amazing ecosystems. Weber State University psychology professor Lauren Fowler will lead this 8-day program in which students will spend visit Quito, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, and an excursion into Cotopaxi National Park. Receive three credits of PSYCH 4050. Cost per person is $3,420 per person for those under 23 years of age. Cost for 23 years of age and older is $3,716.

PSYCH 4050 |
| Courses: |
Students will visit the Galapagos Islands and read selected information related to evolutionary psychology and Darwin’s ideas and contributions. Students will gain in their understanding of the role of natural selection and sexual selection in the behavior of human and non-human animals, as well as the role of other related phenomena in determination of mind, brain, and behavior. |
| Student Assessment: |
Student will complete journal while on study tour. An integration paper and a final presentation are also required. |

| Housing arrangements: |
Accommodations will be in hotels in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Those under 23 years of age typically stay in quad occupancy. Those 23 years and older will be in twin occupancy. Breakfasts and dinner are provided daily in Quito. All meals are provided on the Galapagos Islands. |
| Selection Criteria: |
Student participants can 18 years of age or older from the campus or community. Preference will be give to WSU students in the Psychology program. Participants must be aware that the trips does include some moderate physical demands including walking, hiking on unpaved areas, and boating between islands. It is, however, not physically demanding for anyone who is in reasonably good health. |

Cost per person is $3,420 per person for those under 23 years of age. Cost for 23 years of age and older is $3,716. This includes most meals, accommodations, ground, boat, and air travel, admission fees, airport tax. |
Payment Schedule
Complete fees of $3,420 (under 23 years of age) or $3,716 (23+ years old) are due no later than Oct. 1, 2009.
