GEOGRAPHY DEPARTMENT

| "As a young man, my fondest dream was to become a geographer. However, while working in the Patent Office, I thought deeply about the matter and concluded that it was far too difficult a subject. With some reluctance, I then turned to Physics as a substitute." | |

Because geography is a holistic discipline, a degree in geography at Weber State allows you to take classes in a broad range of areas, as well as concentrating on a particular emphasis. There are four core courses required of all majors, and further classes depending on the choice of emphasis. Students may concentrate on one of seven different emphases in geography. These are Geography (regular emphasis), Environmental, Planning, Latin America, European Studies, Asian Studies, Ethnic Studies, and Geography Teaching. Click here for course listings required for each emphasis. More information is available in the College Catalog.
