Personal
I have been living in the Wasatch Front for five years now and loving every moment of it.  I have been blessed with a great career with outstanding benefits; beautiful mountain trails and being surrounded by wonderful people.  I also have a joy of athletics and I sometimes sneak out to toss my old javelins around and enjoy the company of the track and field team.  Weber State has been a tremendous turning point in my life, and I hope that I can make a contribution to such a super place!

Teaching Philosophy
"The person who figures out how to harness the collective genius of the people in her organization is going to blow the competition away."

"People who accomplish big things did small things well."

Both quotes are selective thoughts of how I try to direct my teaching.  I believe it is important to hold a student accountable for their work but equally important for the teacher to be accurate in their facilitation.  In order to do so, we must recognize the students' strengths and weaknesses, improve where we need to but also build upon what exists.  And above all, we must do the small things well.

Professional Focus
My personal as well as my professional background has allowed me to expand my focus to include both health promotion and exercise science.  Within exercise science I am very interested in the overall function of the human body and how to maximize its efforts.  Tying in with health promotion, I find the courses that make us make life decisions or decisions that can prove to be of positive impact on our communities to be the most beneficial.
