Personal
When I am not outside doing something fun, I live on the eastern bench of a small town called Centerville, Utah with my roommate and two dogs.  I have lived in Utah for seven years and have come to enjoy skiing, snow shoeing, and even snow shoveling.  Special things in my life are family, friends, animals, remodeling my house, working in the yard, and a decent game of golf.  A few things that ruffle my feathers are flat tires on my bike, water on golf courses, and others not holding up their end of a deal.

Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy involves providing students with the most effective and efficient learning environment possible.  I want my teaching to make physical education a positive and exciting experience for all.  My philosophy is based on my conviction that involvement in physical education can have a significant impact on the quality of life. I want to aid in the development and design of new curriculum structures and course content in order to meet the needs of the students, as well as, effectively represent the profession of physical education.  I enjoy teaching very much and I love learning and sharing information with others.

Professional Focus
In the area of motor development, my primary interest is the structural and functional principles of growth and development across the lifespan.  In elementary physical education, my objective is to provide students with the methods, activities and teaching experiences needed to effectively teach physical education to elementary students.  In the areas of curriculum and instructional strategies, my efforts have been focused on strategies and techniques of effective teaching along with curriculum development that meets the diverse needs of the students.  In the activity classes of walking for fitness and badminton, my objective is to assist students in the necessary knowledge, positive attitudes, and skills necessary for participation in lifelong activities.
