Located on the south side of the campus, Ext. 6564

The Alumni Center provides a beautiful and spacious building for a variety of campus and community, and individual activities. The Alumni Center houses the offices of the Alumni Director and Staff. A large meeting room, two conference rooms, a multimedia room and outdoor patio are available for rent for campus, community and individual activities. Rental Information.

Shepherd Union Building, Lower Level, Ext. 6352

The Bookstore provides a well-stocked inventory of books, magazines, computer hardware and software, clothing, office and athletic equipment. Bookstore purchases (with some exceptions) are available to faculty and staff at a 10 percent discount upon presentation of your University ID card. Check cashing services for small amounts are available with your WSU ID card.

Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts, Ext. -7000

The Browning Center is the fine arts center where Weber State University performances, shows, events, lectures, etc., take place. The Browning Center also hosts performances of the Utah Musical Theater, Ballet West, Utah Symphony and many other local and national performing groups.

Employees, students and their family members are invited to join the WSU Employee’s Credit Union. Credit unions are owned entirely by their own members and operated for their exclusive benefit. Services include: draft accounts, draft Corinth cards, payroll deduction, savings, loans (auto, home, improvement, personal, recreational vehicle), loan protection insurance, consumer information, safety deposit boxes, and local movie theater discounts.

The Dee Events Center is a multi-purpose indoor stadium facility. It houses the Weber State men's and women's basketball and women’s volleyball teams games. Additionally, it provides accommodations and services for conferences, community recreation , concerts and other major events at Weber State University.

With the completion in 1990 of the new addition to the Swenson Gym/C. William Stromberg Center, the most up-to-date fitness equipment is available to employees of Weber State. Programs include: aerobics, swimming, racquetball, tennis, indoor track, weight-training, and other facilities.  These programs are free to Students, Faculty and Staff with a current WSU Wildcat Card.

PARCOURSE

Located east of the campus, the "Parcourse," a running and exercise trail, is east of the University along the base of the Wasatch Mountains for the use of the community and campus.

PLANETARIUM
Layton P. Ott Planetarium, Ext. 6855

The Layton P. Ott Planetarium is used primarily as an instructional resource for the astronomy course. Additionally, this facility provides educational opportunities for the general public and local public school systems. Shows and “star parties” are conducted on Wednesday evenings and costs range from $1 to $2.

STUDENT SERVICES CENTER

The departments and programs in the Student Service Center provide services which assist students in meeting their psychological, sociological and academic needs. The Admission and Records Departments are located in the Student Service Center.

J. Farrell Shepherd Student Union Building, Ext. 6367

The Weber State University Shepherd Union Building is the social and recreational center of the campus. It offers a variety of services to students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community. The Shepherd Union Building is staffed with a team of professionals whose primary mission is to facilitate the learning process by helping students with their intellectual, interpersonal, and leadership development. In addition, the staff works to maintain an environment which fulfills many of the campus and community needs through: conference rooms, Dining Facilities and Banquet/Catering Services, Career Services, Student Activity Center, Wildcat Lanes and Games Area, Wildcat Theater, Art Services, Ticket Sales, Bookstore and Mail Services.

WILDCAT STADIUM
Located on the east side of campus, Ext. 6500

The Stadium located behind the Marriott Allied Health Building is the official Weber State football stadium as well as providing stadium usage to the community for games and other events. The Stadium Building houses the offices of the Athletic Director, Football, Men’s and Women’s Track, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Women’s Basketball and Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Golf, Sports Information Department, and the Wildcat Club.

The Wilderness Recreation Center (WRC) makes outdoor activities accessible to WSU and the community by offering a variety of services:

  1. Outdoor equipment rentals for all seasons,
  2. Instructional Programs and Recreational Trips,
  3.  Resource Library (free): books, videos, and maps.

Discounts on Rentals and Programs are offered by presenting a current WSU ID card at the time of purchase.

WILDCAT LANES AND GAMES CENTER - (http://departments.weber.edu/wildcatlanes/)

The Center is a full service recreational/social facility, offering bowling, billiards and video games. The eight bowling lanes are complete with automatic scorers. Wildcat Lanes is available for individual or group recreation. Bowling or billiards (group or individual instruction available) provide an affordable evening of fun and excitement for students, faculty, staff and their families. Equipment for physically challenged available upon request. Student UTA bus passes, photocopies, cigarettes, scantrons, class schedules and many more items are available at the Wildcat Lanes service desk.

WILDCAT THEATER
(located in the Shepherd Union Building)

Wildcat Theater has film presentations, lectures, Issues Forum from fall through spring semester. The presentations are available to students, faculty staff and their families for a minimum fee. See campus calendars for scheduling and coming events or contact Student Activities.
