For WSU Faculty Who Advise Student Research and/or Teach Research Courses

Classroom research projects.  Some class-based research may require an IRB approval.  Please review the WSU Guidelines for Classroom Research Projects for information and instructions.

IRB Training.  At WSU, the Principal Investigator for student projects is always the faculty advisor.  Therefore, every professor whose student submits an IRB application for review must complete the NIH training course and attach a copy of his/her NIH certificate of completion to the student's IRB application.  This computer-based tutorial provides information about the IRB as well as research ethics in general.  You can access this computer-based training course from the "Training" link located on the purple bar to your left.
