Community Invited to Open House for New University Housing
Monday, July 01, 2002

OGDEN, Utah Weber State University will hold an open house for the community to view its new University Village housing complex.

The up-close look at the new facilities will be held from 7-9 p.m. July 10 at University Village, 1321 E. 4600 South in Ogden.

The free open house will include tours of apartments in the new complex as well as access to the community center. Light refreshments will be served.

University Village is the newest student housing at WSU. The six-building, 120-apartment complex will provide housing for up to 476 students. Living space in each furnished apartment features a kitchen, living room, two bathrooms and four private bedrooms. Amenities include wireless and high-speed Ethernet access, state-of-the-art appliances and Dish TV programming. All utilities are paid for in the monthly rent except electricity.

The centrally located community center houses a recreation room, computer lab, classroom and fitness center.

During the Salt Lake City Winter Games, Olympic officials and security personnel stayed in some of the apartments. Apartments in one building are being leased to students for summer school, with the entire complex opening this fall.
