Some of our services include:

·       Maintain proposal-writing information and sources of funds library, including federal, state and foundation publications. 

·       Conduct searches for funding opportunities

·       Interpret funding agency proposal guidelines and requirements.

·       Assist proposal writers with design of budgets. 

·       Provide information and assistance with indirect costs rates, extra compensation salary, employee benefits, cost sharing, etc.

·       Check proposals for compliance with agency guidelines and university policies.  Review final proposals for adherence to budgetary requirements. 

·       Acquire central administration approval of project. 

·       Obtain signature from contracting officer/authorized signature.

Sponsored Project Accounting:

Sponsored Project Accounting is provided by the WSU Accounting Department.  Sr. Accountant, Roxann King has charge of all Sponsored Project accounts.  She can be reached at x7438

·       Negotiate grants and contracts, including indirect costs, with funding agencies.  Review award document for relevancy, contract terms and compliance with university regulations.  Provide authorized signature for all contracts.

·       Maintain required regulatory files and certifications for patents, royalties, research animal and human subject protection.

·       Notify Accounting Services so spending can begin

·       Assist in the process of award close-out.
