Dr. Csikszentmihalyi is Distinguished Professor or Psychology and Director of
the Quality of Life Research Center (QLRC) at Claremont Graduate University in
Claremont, California. He is the former chairman of the Department of Psychology
at the University of Chicago and of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology
at Lake Forest College.
Noted for his work in the study of happiness, creativity, and subjective
well-being, Dr. Csikszentmihalyi is best known as the author of Flow: The
Psychology of Optimal Experience, one of the most talked-about books on
positive psychology. Considered the world's leading researcher on this
subject, he is one of the most widely cited psychologists today in a variety
of fields related to psychology, business and sports medicine.
