
To promote anthropological interests and awareness; to enhance educational opportunities of the department and provide further enrichment outside the classroom; to publicly recognize student excellence in anthropology; and to foster ties between the university and community, as well as other anthropological organizations and departments on campus.
Dedicated and intelligent, club members represent
the discipline of anthropology across campus and have been actively involved in
a variety of university and community organizations: Golden Key Honor Society,
Metaphor (the university's literary journal), Human Anatomy Laboratory, Martial
Arts Club, WSU Leadership Academy, Adopt-a-Native-Elder program, American
Anthropological Association, and Society for Applied Anthropology just to name a
few. A member of WSU's Clubs & Organizations, the Anthropology Club has drawn in
student and community members with diverse backgrounds and interests which has
benefited all of us greatly.

The Anthropology Club has sponsored a wide variety of activities on campus and in the surrounding area:
