What is Wellness?
The student wellness program at Weber State University views
every student as a whole person with the inherent capability
to succeed in all areas of life: intellectual, social,
spiritual, physical, and emotional. Because there is a
strong relationship between the mind and body, striving to
keep oneself healthy and strong in all these areas, can
increase one’s ability to achieve their goals and enjoy a
fulfilling life.
Our programming focuses on functional health education with
an emphasis on increasing critical thinking skills,
self-awareness, confidence, and behavior change knowledge
and ability. We believe by helping students build these
skills, they will not only succeed during their years at
Weber State University but in their future professional and
personal endeavors.
