John (30) is undoubtedly one of the most popular figures on the snooker circuit. He is known as 'the entertainer' not only for his style of play be also his typical Scouser's sense of humour. The high spot of John's career came in 1991 when he won snooker's Blue Riband event, the World Professional Championship, beating Jimmy White in the final. John, who lives in Liverpool, was spotted at the age of 15 by manager Phil Miller and their partnership has become one of the most enduring in the game.
