Dr.
Cavitt's research interests include avian
population ecology, behavioral ecology, and conservation biology. He is
currently investigating the evolution of parental care in European
Starlings and the effects of land use and management on shorebird nesting
success. Dr. Cavitt also heads the Office of Undergraduate
Research. He teaches
ornithology, ecology, wildlife ecology, zoogeography, and principles of
zoology II.
