Dr. Okazaki’s research
investigates the role of
ecdysteroids (arthropodan molting
hormones) in crustacean egg
development and in the reproductive
physiology of nemerteans. His
current research is determining the
presence and role of heat shock
proteins during thermal stress in
nemerteans and terrestrial snails.
His former students have done
research in the endocrinology of
salamanders, snakes, and birds. Dr.
Okazaki teaches comparative
physiology, animal biology, human
biology, and principles of zoology
