  • Summer Undergraduate Research in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.  This program provides support for students to conduct independent research with a faculty mentor at the University of Utah.  Applicants should be of junior standing, however outstanding sophomores will be considered.  Applications are available at the above link or can be obtained in the Zoology Department Office (SL 402).  Deadline is Friday March 21, 2003.

Undergraduate Research Funding Opportunities

  • Sigma Xi provides grants in aid of research to undergraduates and graduate students.  Deadlines for submission are Oct. 15 and March 15 annually.
  • CUR Fellowship The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) awards summer fellowships to faculty members interested in mentoring an undergraduate student at primarily undergraduate institutions. CUR fellowships provide a unique opportunity for undergraduate students and their faculty mentors to engage in approximately ten weeks of full-time research in the laboratory setting at their home institution. The fellowship must be from a member of CUR and the application is submitted by the faculty mentor.  Award opportunities may be restricted to certain academic areas, depending on available funding.  The application deadline is November 16, 2003.
