Administrative Computing Operational Plan
The basic function of Administrative Computing is to support the administrative information requirements of Weber State University. To accomplish this, Administrative Computing:
The Administrative Computing Operational Plan consists of the following actions in support of the WSU Information Technology Plans long term goals:
Renew and re-prioritize efforts to reduce the backlog of requests for Student Accounting and Reporting System (STAARS) enhancements (LTG-B.1).
Continue efforts to enhance the functionality of the "Wildcard" one-card ID system (LTG-C.2).
Take advantage of new technologies by adapting them to existing applications to meet new and current business requirements (LTG-D.2, LTG-D.4, LTG-D.6).
Empower administrative systems users to satisfy their own information requirements by providing software tools to facilitate controlled access to administrative data (LTG-B.1, LTG-D.2).
Test and implement administrative system enhancements/upgrades to insure Year 2000 compliance (LTG-D.6).
Contribute to the efforts of Data Administration, the IIR team, and the IDA team to develop and implement data warehousing at WSU (LTG-D.5).
