Internet Services

Since 1994, WSU has been aggressively developing applications on the World-Wide-Web. Roy Stock was appointed Webmaster in 1995.  Roy has overseen or assisted in the development of hundreds of official and unofficial web pages and is currently the leader of the Internet Services team.

In 1997, a university Web Design Team was formed with Sandy Sowerby, Director of Public Relations, as team leader. A separate ad hoc committee was formed to formulate and recommend a web page policy to President's Council. 

Internet Services maintains a web site that describes in detail current projects, tasks and priorities (http://catsis.weber.edu:80/CATS/internet.htm).  The following implementation actions for web development at WSU were proposed before the creation of the Internet Services page and continue under development (corresponding long-term goals [LTG] in parentheses):

• Develop institutional policy regarding official university web pages (LTG-C.1, with assistance from the Web Policy Committee).
• Develop and implement an official disclaimer for all non-official web pages residing on university-owned equipment (LTG-C.1, with assistance from the Web Policy Committee).
