Section 4.1 |
The Department of Teacher Education is authorized by the Utah State Office of Education to prepare teachers for initial Utah teaching licenses.Teacher education licensure programs include coursework, field experiences, and a minimum of 50 days (full-time) of student teaching. |
Section 4.2 |
The Department will design its licensure programs based on state and national standards and professional knowledge bases. Program design is a right and responsibility of teacher education faculty. |
Section 4.3 |
Students who desire the Department of Teacher Education to recommend them to the Utah State Office of Education for teacher licensure must complete all program requirements and maintain high academic standards and professional dispositions. |
