Section 7.1 |
Department of Teacher Education licensure programs require full-time student teaching practicum assignments. The design of student teaching requirements rests with the faculty. |
Section 7.2 |
Each level of the Teacher Education professional core will include field placements in local schools where students have opportunity to practice concepts learned in the core and to interact with teachers, administrators, and parents. The design of core level field experiences rests with the faculty. |
Section 7.3 |
To insure successful student teaching and field experiences, students will be supervised by university faculty and/or professionals with proven expertise in teaching and/or administration. |
Section 7.4 |
All procedures for field experiences and student teaching will be described in the Student Teaching/Field Experience Manual. This manual will be updated by the coordinator of Field Experiences/Student Teaching in consultation with the Department chair. |
