Section 8.1 | The Department of Teacher Education recognizes and upholds students' rights as described by policy. |
Section 8.2 | Students who wish to appeal a grade should work with the professor who assigned that grade to resolve any issues or disputes at the lowest level possible. |
Section 8.3 | Applicants who are not provisionally admitted to a teacher licensure program may appeal, in writing, for admissions accomodations directly to the Department of Teacher Education Admission/Retention (A/R) Committee. In such cases, applications should first meet with the chairperson of the A/R committee to discuss appeal procedures. |
Section 8.4 | Fully admitted teacher licensure candidates who do not pass student teaching are entitled to an informal hearing with the Department chairperson, Coordinator of Student Teaching, cooperating teacher(s), and university supervisors. |
Section 8.5 | Should any appeal not be resolved by the above processes students may appeal to the Moyes College of Education Appeal committee following its policies and procedures. |
