Section 8.1 The Department of Teacher Education recognizes and upholds students' rights as described by policy.
Section 8.2 Students who wish to appeal a grade should work with the professor who assigned that grade to resolve any issues or disputes at the lowest level possible.
Section 8.3 Applicants who are not provisionally admitted to a teacher licensure program may appeal, in writing, for admissions accomodations directly to the Department of Teacher Education Admission/Retention (A/R) Committee. In such cases, applications should first meet with the chairperson of the A/R committee to discuss appeal procedures.
Section 8.4 Fully admitted teacher licensure candidates who do not pass student teaching are entitled to an informal hearing with the Department chairperson, Coordinator of Student Teaching, cooperating teacher(s), and university supervisors.
Section 8.5

Should any appeal not be resolved by the above processes students may appeal to the Moyes College of Education Appeal committee following its policies and procedures.
