Objectives

1. Describe the structural and functional classification of
joints.
2. Define the structures of a typical synovial joint. Be
able to identify these
structures from an illustration.
3. Describe the difference between the function of a
ligament and the function
of a tendon.
4. Describe types of movements at synovial joints to
include: gliding,
