Myocardial infarction (heart attack) is the leading
cause of death in the United States. It is estimated
that one in every five deaths in the US is due to a
heart attack. Approximately one million patients are
admitted to hospitals each year due to heart attacks.
200,000 to 300,000 individuals die from heart attacks
before ever receiving medical care. In Case #2 we’ll
join 48-year-old Jason Dixon as he experiences a
life-threatening heart attack. |
